A Public School Dedicated to Academic and Artistic Excellence

PVPA is a regional public charter school serving 400 students grades 7-12, from over 60 towns throughout Western Massachusetts. We seek to connect the creative process with critical thinking to inspire a love of learning. As a charter school, the work we do informs educational policy at local, state and national levels.

About the bus

In order to receive partial reimbursement for transportation costs from the state, Massachusetts public schools must offer transportation to every attending child. Because PVPA enrolls students from over 60 different communities, we determined that it was impossible to provide transportation to our entire student body. However, PVPA does offer bus transportation for a fee to a limited number of towns in order to accommodate families who find it difficult to carpool.

About carpools

Many PVPA families rely on carpools to transport their students to and from school. To assist our families in connecting with other families in their area, we have created a google form. When you fill out and submit the form below, the information will automatically become part of a spreadsheet. A link to this spreadsheet will be shared with other families who have also submitted information. The first deadline for the 2013 - 2014 school year is July 1st. After July 1st, a link to the spreadsheet will be e-mailed to everyone who has submitted the form. The link will be sent again after August 1st, and again after September 1st so that people who have added their information over the summer will be included. After the beinning of the school year, the link will be made available upon request to anyone who has submitted their information. Please only fill out this form if your student is either a current student at PVPA or is a student who has been offered and has accepted a spot at PVPA (such as our incoming 7th grade class). Click the link below to get started!
